WELCOME!

My name is Alara Jones, and I graduated from Montana State University in the summer of 2021 with a BA in Film Production. The main service I provide and the service with which I have the most experience is editing. On this website are pictures and video representing my experience with video and photo editing. I also have considerable experience working as a production assistant, and am familiar with how sets run, so if you need a PA, please contact me!

In addition to my Film Production degree, I minored in Psychology, and completed a Business and Entrepreneurship Certificate. I've worked on some short narrative film sets (including several for student and award winning MSU faculty) doing anything from makeup and production design to writing, directing, assistant directing and producing. I've also worked on commercial sets in Montana as a production assistant for companies, including Wrangler and Marlboro.

To date, I have worked at Cairns Film, a Bozeman-based video production company, for almost 2 years. As an editor and producer, I've developed considerable experience working with clients, producing documentaries, and have developed time management and communication skills. I now manage my own small business Alara's Editing & Productions and welcome side projects to fill my extra time. Please contact me if you need an editor, videographer, or production assistant!
